Mac Installation

How to access Proshop Tee Times on a Apple Mac product with slightly limited functionality.

Please Note: Accessing Proshop Tee Times on a Mac requires remote control software of a remote Windows PC. Due to this setup some features such as credit card processing, receipt printing, cash drawer control are not possible.

Introduction

Install Windows App

First we need to install the Windows App from the App Store on your Mac. The easiest method is to click on this link and on the resulting page click the ‘View in Mac App Store’ button.
If that link doesn’t work you can open the App Store app on your Mac and search for ‘Windows App’ manually.
Once you are on the App Store page for ‘Windows App’ click the get/install button.

Configure Windows App

The following steps are only required on the first login, these settings will be remembered and future connection attempts will be much quicker.

Start by opening the newly installed ‘Windows App’. This can be found in Launchpad or in your Applications Folder.
If prompted to opt-in to data sharing select the ‘Not Now’ option.
If prompted to grant microphone and/or camera access select the ‘Continue’ option.
If asked to grant access to your camera or microphone select ‘Dont Allow’.
Select the ‘Skip’ option at the bottom of the ‘Welcome to Windows App’ introduction screen.
Select ‘Devices’ from the sidebar on the left. Then click the ‘+’ icon at the top followed by ‘Add PC’.
In the ‘Add PC’ window that appears type in remote.proshopteetimes.com:443 for the PC name field.
Next, click the dropdown arrows in the ‘User Account’ field and select the ‘Add Credentials’ option.
Insert the remote login credentials that we’ve provided you for your Mac into the ‘Username’ and ‘Password’ fields and then click the blue ‘Add’ button. Note: These credentials will be different from those that you use to sign into the tee sheet and point of sale software.
You will return to the previous screen. Go ahead and enter ‘Proshop Tee Times’ in the ‘Friendly name’ field.
Finally click into the ‘Display’ tab and uncheck the ‘Start session in full screen’ option.
Click on the blue ‘Add’ button to finish configuring our remote connection.

Connecting To Remote Server

Launch the ‘Windows App’ if it is not already running, it can be found in Launchpad or your Applications folder.
Select ‘Devices’ from the sidebar then double click on the ‘Proshop Tee Times’ tile.
If you receive a certificate error click on the blue ‘Continue’ button.
If everything is working correctly a window will appear with a desktop containing the ‘Proshop Tee Times’ icon.

Launching Proshop Tee Times

Double click on the ‘Proshop Tee Times’ on the desktop of the remote pc.
If presented with a ‘Open File - Security Warning’ click the ‘Run’ button.
Once the login screen appears sign in with your Proshop Tee Times credentials which we will provide.
